The Tydings Marina which is located in the southern area of the City of Havre de Grace has approximately 275 boat slips and provides water access to the northern Chesapeake and the Susquehanna River.  The Marina which is operated and maintained by the City of Havre de Grace is equipped with the gasoline and diesel fuel storage and dispensing system. Our scope of work included providing mechanical, electrical and structural engineering services for the replacement of the existing underground storage tanks and dispensing system which was briefly as follows:

• Field survey of the existing site to document existing conditions for the removal of the existing 8,000 gallons gasoline and 4,000 gallons diesel fuel underground storage tanks and related fuel dispensing system.

• Preparation of the mechanical, electrical and structural construction documents for the replacement of the existing 8,000 and 4,000 gallons underground storage tanks and related fuel dispensing system with a new two compartment double wall fiberglass tank and fuel dispensing system.

• Coordination with the Marylnd Department of Environment concerning the requirements for soil testing, removal of possible contaminated soil, and leak monitoring system.

• Performance of the bidding phase service and responding to the bidder’s questions and providing assistance to the owner to evaluate the bids.

• Performance of the construction services consisting of the review of shop drawing submittals and responses to the contractor’s questions.
